S/w development Positions in the Router business group
The router business group called as PSG (Platform Systems Group) owns Juniper Networks’ router portfolio. This also includes the ever reliable JUNOS operating system. To name few routers: M, Mx, T4000, T1600, EX, Mx-3D, Ax etc. Bangalore centre leads and owns significant amount of ownership in the development of these routers.
o Packet forwarding in Core routers & Edge routers (CBU S/w, EABU JUNOS & EABU Subscriber Services)
Experience: 7 to 15 yrs
Description: An opportunity to work on some of the World’s fastest and best routers.
Work encompasses developing forwarding software, device drivers for ASIC forwarding solutions
Skills: L2/L3 forwarding, Firewall, ACL, VPLS, MVPN, Multicast, QOS, COS, ATM, Frame-relay, L2VPN, L3VPN, PPP, ATCA, SERDES programming
o Subscriber Services (EABU Subscriber Services)
Experience: 5 to 15 Yrs
Description: Developing subscrber servcies on Edge routers.
Skills: QOS, DHCP, AAA [ Radius/ Diameter], PPP, L2TP, DHCP.
o Platform Software on Juniper’s new edge router (EABU – Access & Aggregation)
Experience: 7 to 15 yrs
Description: An opportunity to work on new hardware platform. Work encompasses Board bring up, HW diagnostics, Device drivers, Chassis Management etc.
Skills: Ethernet and/or network drivers in Unix OS
o Carrier Ethernet solutions (EABU JUNOS)
Experience: 5 to 15 yrs
Description : Architecting carrier Ethernet solution using Juniper products, and provide guidance to the team for feature development.
Skills: Hands on experience of Ethernet networking technology and associated layer 2 protocols. Network architecture
o Routing Protocol (FE – JUNOS Core Dev)
Experience : 5-15 Yrs
Description: Design, develop, and maintain IP routing and MPLS signaling software as part of a strong and dynamic JUNOS Routing Protocols team.
Skills : Experience in at least one routing and signaling protocols such as BGP, LDP, MPLS, OSPF, VPLS, BFD, MULTICAST, PIM or RSVP is required.
o DevTest Engineer (Software Engineer – EABU JUNOS)
Experience : 6-15 Yrs
Description: Evaluate and develop new tools and infra for many initiatives needed on delivering high quality JUNOS for M/MX platforms. Developing infra and engage in white box testing of JUNOS for M/MX platform features
Skills: Networking, Perl scripting, System test

System test Positions in PSG
o Protocols/Infra/Interfaces on Core & Edge routers
Experience: 5 to 12 yrs
Description: System level verification tests for Core & Edge routers
Skills: Networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, multicast, MPLS, RSVP, Ethernet, SONET, QoS, PFE), their configuration and deployment. High availability features. Understanding of routing architectures. Perl/ any scripting is required.

Hardware Engineering positions in PSG
o Hardware Engineer (EABU – Hardware)
Experience: 8 to 12 yrs
Description: Complete ownership of architecting and delivering cutting edge and high quality hardware system from concept to production.
Work with PCB layout, signal integrity, Power conversion, Mechanical, ASIC, FPGA, Software, Testing, Manufacturing and sustaining team on the program

o Engineering Manager – Software Development in Packet forwarding area for Core Routers (CBU S/w)
Experience: 10+ yrs with at least 1 yr as Engg Mgr
Description: Set up and lead a team of highly talented engineers working in the area of Packet Forwarding software for next generation core routers. Engineering execution of the programs by working with internal teams such as HW, marketing, QA, program management etc. responsible for the performance, productivity, morale and motivation of the team.
o Engineering Manager – Software Development, Carrier Ethernet, Layer 2 solutions
Experience - 10+ yrs with at least 1 yr as Engg Mgr
Description: Managing a strong, motivated group which is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Carrier Ethernet solutions
