Juniper Networks is now aggressively branching with partners for enabling the partners to develop softwares/applications on Juniper’s routers. The New Business Business Unit (NBBU) is spearheading this exciting phase in Juniper’s journey into next decade of networking.   The new network is here.

NBBU designs, builds, and supports the JUNOS Partner Solution Development Platform (PSDP) and the partners who use it to create applications for JUNOS-based products

Job Description

The Open IP group (part of Infrastructure Products Group) is looking for a Lead/ senior

software engineer to take a lead in design and development of an exciting new software

based platform.

PSDP (Partner Solution Development Platform) is a software platform with data and control plane components, which allows Juniper partners and customers to develop incremental functionality on top of JUNOS. PSDP works on a dedicated SMP based blade for data and a shared blade for control. Work areas for the team include the entire gamut of networking and operating systems.

Candidate Requirements

Prior experience is required in one or more of the following: extensive systems software experience; networking applications (Firewall, NAT, IDP etc);SMP (multiprocessor) programming; kernel networking (TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6); flow based packet processing architectures; High Availability; IP routing/forwarding.

Ability to assess and deal with customer network scenarios is a big plus.

Strong UNIX/C programming skills, BSD or Linux internals knowledge,

problem-solving, and communication skills required, with desire to grow

with the company. Requires B.S, M.S., M.Tech, or equivalent in computer science.
